Overview

Valuers are increasingly facing allegations of negligence for using inadequate comparables or relying solely on online data without proper groundwork. Some speculative valuations involve significant risk profiles, requiring professional judgment where direct comparisons aren’t possible. This raises the question: how can valuers protect themselves from future claims that their judgment was outside the range expected by competent professionals?
