Overview
The evening will debate the practical solutions on what the new government should be doing, how we can unlock funding solutions to deliver new homes, as well as focus on planning reform, increasing competition within the market, rebooting local authority housebuilding, as well as ensuring that we achieve the required uplift in skilled workers to get builders building.
The aim of the debate is to help inform investors, developers, housing providers, public sector partners, and planners on the best way forward for what is becoming the key domestic challenge ahead of the July 4 General Election.
We will hear views and experiences from the panel on how we can initiate a local authority housing renaissance, how to attract more SMEs to the market and how government and planning authorities should be tackling this huge issue.

Then there will be a keynote presentation by Simon Rubinsohn, RICS Chief Economist.
