Meet your RICS Matrics South West Regional Chair

I’m Emma Martin and I am a Senior Cost Consultant working for Arcadis leading a team of Property Cost Consultants across the South West. I have been liaising between Matrics groups and the South West Regional board for a few years, however I am now formally your new Regional Chair for Matrics in the South West.

I have been working in the industry since 2006 and I completed a distance learning degree with the University College of Estate Management in 2012.  I gained Chartered status with RICS in 2015 and I now dedicate a lot of my time to helping colleagues and other candidates through this process.  At Arcadis I am the South West Regional APC representative helping to facilitate group training sessions and carrying out Mock interviews for candidates.

I have been involved with Matrics for several years and I was an active member of the Devon and Cornwall committee helping to organise APC events at the Eden Project, the annual soiree and the summer boat trip.  Being a part of the Matrics community has helped me to grow my personal network over the years and feel connected to the RICS therefore I am keen to keep it thriving in the South West.

Going forward we have a newly relaunched Plymouth group, as well as the Bristol and Gloucestershire committees.  They each have an exciting programme of events planned so keep an eye out for announcements on the Matrics LinkedIn group.
