Overview
RICS Matrics Devon is hosting a site visit of The Millennium Building & C103 courtesy of Nudge Community Builders.
Built in 1931 The Millennium Complex is a former cinema, roller disco and nightclub. Following the nightclub closure in 2004, it was purchased by various developers and was added to Historic England's at-risk register. Nudge and Eat Work Art purchased the building in 2020. A £4 million redevelopment was commenced with plans to provide business units for small manufacturers and a 1,500-capacity music venue.
Nudge Community Builders is a Plymouth-based Community Benefit Society that aims to build a strong local community and economy. Set up in 2017 Nudge community builders take pride in restoring disused, privately owned landmark buildings for the benefit of the local community.
RICS Matrics Devon will be joined by RTPI Young Planners.
High visibility jackets and steel toe-capped boots will be required.
