Applications are invited from all qualified RICS professionals, who are interested in chairing the RICS North East Regional Board.
We are looking for an active volunteer with leadership skills who has a solid can-do attitude, and is motivated to invest time and effort to assist in the enhancement of member engagement. The successful candidate will be expected to participate with RICS staff to create confidence in markets and be known for effecting positive change in the built and natural environments.
To achieve this, RICS will continue to increase the relevance of our credentials and our professional standards with the assistance of the successful candidates. The chosen candidates will provide market insights and intelligence, support Business Planning and alignment of the RICS strategic goals and enhance local member engagement.
The Board meets four times a year online or in a central location in the Region. Since the Board is very active, a commitment of at least eight (8) hours per month (excluding travel) is expected from Regional Board Chairs in order to perform their duties.
Non-executive members drawn from the RICS membership are not remunerated at present. All non-executive members will be reimbursed for expenses incurred in the performance of his/her duties in accordance with the RICS Expenses Policy.
