Overview
Port Works No. 5 (PW5) of the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) is a survey vessel mainly for supporting the engineering projects related to marine works and fill management. The CEDD’s new survey vessel “Port Works 5” (PW5) was officially commissioned in October 2024. It represents a significant leap forward in the survey capabilities of CEDD.
During the technical tour, the speaker will provide a guided tour of the new PW5, highlighting enhancements to ship engine, as well as its safety and survey components.
The speaker will also introduce some of the daily hydrographic survey equipment, including remote-controlled boats. Additionally, experiences from past hydrographic survey work will be shared.
