Getting Started can be daunting, on this page we will support you with some of the key getting started actions, Assessment Platform guidance, access to the RICS candidate guides and information on the support resources that is available to you.

Step one

Please find below the Getting Started recordings to introduce you to the processes and resources available by route:

On the recordings you will be told about RICS submission requirements and how to use your Assessment Platform. Tutorials to navigate the RICS Assessment Platform can be found here.

Step two

As a candidate, you are required to login to the Assessment Platform, select your competencies and start working on your submission, throughout your journey. If you are following one of the APC structured training routes you also need to log your experience in your diary tracking your progress toward final assessment.

Step three

Familiarise yourself with the RICS Candidate guides as these will provide you with all the information you need to prepare your submission for assessment.

The candidate guide provides all the information you need to prepare your submission for assessment and prepare for the final assessment interview.

 

 

This template is primarily for use by APC structured training candidates who need to record a minimum of 200 days experience for each year of structured training. It may also be useful for all APC candidates as a record of how you have developed your competencies and therefore support the writing of your summary of experience.

Engage with your counsellor

If you haven’t already you must nominate a counsellor to support and, guide you through your preparation and training. Ultimately approving you as ready to apply for your assessment. You won’t be able to proceed to assessment without a counsellor.

You should develop a plan with your counsellor to ensure you are on track to complete your submission. We suggest you arrange set times to meet with your counsellor every 3 to 6 months during your assessment journey.
