David Warburton MRICS
Development Director, Urban Splash
David started his career with Lovell Partnerships, before working across the UK in leading a multi-disciplinary built environment consultancy team as Director of Development and Regeneration for The Prince’s Foundation. He subsequently held senior roles at government regeneration agency English Partnerships, the Homes and Communities Agency and Homes England.
In 2018 he was seconded to the West Midlands Combined Authority as Head of Land and Development, where he led on the delivery of the £250m Housing Deal, and created the Combined Authority’s Single Commissioning Framework covering its £360m investment in land, housing and commercial property.
He has recently returned to Urban Splash as Development Director following an earlier commercial secondment from Homes England. He is responsible for delivering new and revitalised neighbourhoods, including the transformative 20-year city development partnership with Swansea Council - Urban Splash's first venture into Wales.
David serves as a non executive director on the RICS Regional Board, and continues his existing role as an RICS Assessor. He volunteers as a mentor to young leaders in real estate, supporting and helping to develop the careers of future property professionals; and plays an active role in the Urban Land Institute in the UK as a Member of its Regional Executive Committee.
