Betsy Wong FRICS

Founder, BCW Consultancy Ltd

Having started her career as a graduate surveyor in Cambridgeshire, Betsy headed to London to work with both national and international consultancy firms. Soon after, she began specialising in property and asset management. She then returned to base in the region to continue developing her career. Since then, she’s become a Partner of a national consultancy firm, leading the company’s property and facilities management team and helping the company to restructure. Betsy has also supported other national and regional companies to set up new management teams from scratch. Six years ago, Betsy decided to set up her own property consultancy business specialising in providing property and asset management services and strategic commercial real estate advice, from everyday property management and portfolio asset management to strategic review and business planning. Betsy has become a Regional Board member because she felt Very often, due to the geographic location, the East of England can sometimes feel distant to other regions, therefore it is important that the board can be the voice of our members. As well as the Regional Board member, Betsy is also an INSPIRE Ambassador, APC Councillor and Mentor as she firmly believes the next generation is our future and she is passionate to promote our profession.

John Allison

MRICS, Director, Allison Surveying Limited

I am a director of Allison Surveying Limited, a small family surveying practice specialising in historic buildings and listed building consent. I believe that traditional buildings and traditional materials naturally provide for a more sustainable built environment and create healthy environments for their users. I applied to join the board because I hope it will provide opportunities to facilitate better member engagement with the RICS at a local level. As a starting point I have helped relaunch the Norwich area networking lunch-and-lecture series and hope to build on this with further member events. I am an APC assessor, counsellor and mentor, and an Inspire Ambassador. Additionally, Allison Surveying has joined Norfolk Pro Help which provides pro-bono assistance to charities in Norfolk.
