MSP® Practitioner

Building on the knowledge learned from the MSP® Foundation qualification, this course brings your skills in programme management to a more advanced level and focuses on the application of best practice programme management techniques, so that you are able to deliver large scale programmes successfully.

• Identify additional value as a result of managing the described change as an MSP programme
• Explain and apply each of the MSP principles, the governance themes and the transformational flow processes and their activities
• Clarify the relationship between the MSP principles, governance themes, the transformational flow, programme information (documents) and the MSP defined programme management roles
• Produce and evaluate examples of MSP programme information (documents).

If you are managing projects within the built environment and have foundation MSP knowledge, then this course will support you in managing transformational change. If you are seeking a professionally recognised qualification, becoming MSP® Practitioner trained will substantiate your level of programme management benchmarked against industry standards.

To successfully complete this course, we recommend that you have prior knowledge of the Managing Successful Programmes framework. Otherwise we recommend that you first complete the MSP® Foundation course before attempting this course.

Note: There is only one textbook for both the Foundation and Practitioner MSP® courses. Please check with ILX if you have queries about which textbook is necessary.

On completion of the e-learning course you will receive a RICS Certificate confirming that you have successfully completed the MSP® Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner course.

The exam will be hosted by ILX, external to the RICS.

Upon successful completion of all modules and the exam, you will be eligible to receive an accredited qualification from ILX and an RICS Certificate of Completion.

The exam consists of eight questions with a total of 80 marks available. You will need to achieve a minimum of 40 marks (50%) correctly to pass. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes and delegates are permitted to use an open text book (only the MSP guide is permitted).
