In each module, you have access to eLearning, reading, case study and a quiz. You also have access to live online consolidation sessions, where a tutor will take you through the module, case study and any tricky elements of learning. Each module is expected to take you one month. You are given a further two months to complete your exam and complete any further outstanding work. After this time, the course will end, and you will no longer have access to these materials.

Understanding the principals behind property finance and investment can help property professionals to make more informed decisions. This course is designed to give you the fundamental knowledge you need, from making basic financial models to learning about different sources of financing.
This course is for practicing professionals in the real estate or finance industry. The course content assumes that you have a background in property, although you will not need any specific knowledge in property finance and funding before starting this course.

Isil Erol is Professor of Real Estate Finance in the Faculty of Business and the Academic Director of aA Retail & Real Estate Centre at Ozyegin University, Istanbul-Turkey.Isil’s research interests are real estate finance (residential mortgages, option-based mortgage pricing, hotel investments), corporate finance (REITs and ESG investing), and housing economics.
Isil received her PhD from the University of Cambridge UK in Real Estate Finance and have been awarded two prestigious international scholarships; the UK government-funded Chevening Scholarship and the Bill Gates-Cambridge Scholarship.
Before joining Ozyegin University, Isil was an Associate Professor of Real Estate Finance and Investment at Henley Business School, University of Reading UK. Before that, she worked at the Department of Property Economics in Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Isil worked for the World Bank as a real estate consultant, led and collaborated in several research projects funded by the World Bank Group, European Union and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
Isil has widely published in academic journals: Journal of Housing Economics, Regional Studies, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Urban Geography, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Energy Research & Social Science, International Journal of Urban and Regional Research, Journal of Housing and Built Environment, Journal of Property Investment and Finance, and Land Use Policy.
