RICS Wales Tour of Gwrych Castle

Overview

The long-awaited guided tour of Gwrych Castle, Conwy, first suggested by local members, will be taking place on Thursday 27^th March.

Gwrych Castle is an imposing gothic ruin on the picturesque North Wales coastline, with spectacular sea views and impressive architecture around every corner. Gwrych Castle gained fame as the filming location for I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here! for two consecutive years.

Gwrych Castle is a Grade 1 listed country house near Abergele in Conwy, North Wales. Standing on an ancient site, the current building was created by Lloyd Hesketh Bamford Bamford-Hesketh and his descendants over much of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The castle and its 236-acre estate are now owned by a charity, the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust.

The visit will include refreshments on arrival followed by a 90min guided tour of the Castle and grounds, and will close with a RICS Wales policy and engagement update.
