This is a London and South East Matrics joint event hosted at RICS HQ in London for International Women’s Day 2025.

Speaker bio

Karen Fugle is a Leadership and Career Coach who has more than 25 years of experience in the Architectural and Construction industry. Karen founded SleepingGiant Consulting in 2014 after a successful career as a leading UK CAD/BIM consultant, and she has been supporting the careers of architects, designers, and construction professionals ever since.

Qualified as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Coach Master Toolkit certified, Karen is a significant contributor to the Women in Architecture UK network for the past six years, and oversees the WIA UK Mentoring Programme.

To give the industry a deeper insight into the challenges of working at mid-level, Karen published the 2020 report ‘Women in Architecture: Self-development and Career Advancement for Mid-Level Professionals. In 2023 Karen launched the Architect’s Leadership Journal.
