We recognise that achieving gender parity in the surveying profession remains a significant challenge. Currently, women represent only 20% of RICS members globally, with only 5% achieving Fellowship status. Despite ongoing efforts and insight reporting highlighting the barriers women face in the surveying profession, persistent challenges continue to stifle their retention, development and progression through the highest leadership levels.

A critical culture shift is essential. By fostering more inclusive employment practices and equitable pay, development and promotion processes, we can better attract, retain, and advance women within the surveying profession.
