Maureen Ehrenberg FRICS has been elected the Senior Vice President (SVP) of RICS for 2025, commencing her term on 1 January 2025. She will join the current President Elect, Justin Sullivan FRICS, and current Senior Vice President, Nick Maclean to lead the Presidential team for the year.

With over 35 years’ experience in commercial real estate and digital business transformation, Maureen’s expertise in strategic operational redesign makes her a leader in adapting to the evolving landscape of work and buildings. In addition to her role at RICS, Maureen is a management trustee for the International Union of Operating Engineers and a member of the Real Estate Advisory Board for the New York State Teachers Retirement System (NYSTRS). Her previous board positions include leadership roles with CoreNet Global, IFMA (International Facility Management Association), and OCSRE (Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate). Maureen also served as a trustee at Roosevelt University for 20 years and has received multiple accolades for her contributions to the industry, including the Innovator of the Year Award from CoreNet Global and several awards from RealComm for her vision in technology.

In 2021, GlobeSt.com recognised her as a Woman of Influence. In 2024, CoreNet Global named Maureen into its Distinguished Leaders Circle, which is designed to pay tribute to the pioneers, thought leaders, trailblazers, role models, mentors, change agents and provocateurs who have helped define and shape the corporate real estate profession through their body of work.

Reflecting on her new role within the RICS 2025 Presidential team, Maureen said:

“It is a tremendous honour to be elected at this time of unprecedented globalisation in our industry driven by technology, decarbonisation objectives, regulations and calls for more transparency by demanding compliance and adherence to professional ethics. I am very excited to have the opportunity to support our member base in advancing the RICS’ global strategic initiatives and regional imperatives. Supporting our professionals in the transformation of practising real estate in a VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) world of opportunities and challenges will ensure that our clients, companies and members thrive.”

2024 RICS President Tina Paillet said: “Maureen will be a brilliant addition to the presidential team at RICS. With her extensive experience in global real estate, investment, proptech, and business start-ups, she has insight into many areas where RICS members work. Her previous roles at the board level, including in an international membership body, alongside her commitment to RICS, make her well-suited to continue RICS’ transformation programme. Maureen’s contribution will ensure professionals get more value from their RICS membership and I offer her my warmest congratulations and wish her the very best for the next three years."

Maureen will serve as SVP for one year before stepping into the role of President Elect on 1 January 2026, and ultimately becoming RICS President in 2027.
