As the global professional body in the built environment, RICS plays a pivotal role in collaborating with diverse industry stakeholders and universities in each local market. Our aim is to lead thought leadership and drive positive impacts in dynamic local situations.

A prime example of our engagement in China is our long-standing partnership with Cushman & Wakefield Vanke Service. Together, we are committed to the pursuit of global standards adoption and best practices on critical topics, such as commercial real estate decarbonization. Since 2023, we have launched a series of white papers in response to China’s dual carbon goals.

This year, RICS will continue to explore operational decarbonization with the release of White Paper Version 2.0, focusing on approaches to further achieve these targets. To enhance this effort, RICS invites our members, trainees, and industry experts to contribute to a survey on the current challenges and development prospects of the facility management industry, as well as recent adoption of low-carbon technologies.
