As part of our regulatory framework, we undertake regulatory assurance activities for all RICS individual members and RICS registered firms (‘Regulated Members’), including receiving concerns about Regulated Members, assessing the concerns, investigating concerns where necessary and taking disciplinary action in the most serious cases. The Regulation Profession Support and Assurance Teams under Member Support Visits and Regulatory Review Visits; and also host compliance workshops and webinars for our regulated scheme members (Valuer Registration, Firm Registration, Client Money Protection Scheme (UK) and Designated Professional Body Scheme (UK)).
We also provide access to a comprehensive range of activities designed to support and guide professionals. From the Regulatory Rules to the Regulatory Tribunal Policy and Guidance, Regulatory Guidance, and Regulation Practice Alerts, our offerings cover a wide spectrum of essential resources. These resources are tailored to uphold accountability, fairness, and adherence to best practices within the industry.
The regulatory functions of RICS are led and overseen by the Standards and Regulation Board (SRB).
