Members can log into VLeBooks with an ID and password to access over 300 eBooks, these login credentials are different to those you may use to login to RICS.org. Your login ID for VLeBooks is usually your member ID. Please also refer to our guide.

If you are a member of RICS and this is your first visit, please contact knowledge@rics.org and we will get you set up.

Login guidance:

Once you have a login go to https://www.vlebooks.com/

  • Step 1 - Enter in organisation ID: RICS
  • Step 2 - Enter in your username (usually your membership number)
  • Step 3 - Enter password – first time this will be the one supplied by knowledge@rics.org and after that whatever you chose to change it to.
  • Step 4 - Click login

When you first login, you will be presented with the first-time registration popup box, if you don’t get this screen please check that you have pop-ups allowed on your browser.

Put in your email address and then choose your own password.

Tick that you agree to the house rules and then save your details.

You can search for eBooks using the search bar at the top. Search by keyword or author.

Please read online unless there is a good reason to download, our model only allows a certain number of credits and reading online makes these go a lot further, your chosen book will open on a new browser tab.

When finished, please close the book by closing the tab, then log out.

For a list of just the ebooks use this link.

You can also search our library catalogue.

To search for the titles available through the RICS VLEBook licence search for 'ebook' along with any other keyword you want such as 'ebook valuation'.

Note that the catalogue does not contain just ebooks, it includes bibliographic records of items also in our physical only collection so a search for ‘valuation’ on its own will bring up items not just available from VLEBooks.
