Professional groups

Professional groups are the way that RICS segments the various technical specialisms of the profession. In total there are 18 groups covering the broad spectrum of surveying services.

Join a sector discussion group

RICS has a number of digital  communities which you can join covering the principal areas of surveying practice and many specialist issues such as Building Conservation, Valuation, Land & Natural Resources and Property. These forums connect the professional membership with the wider market.

RICS regularly holds leader forums or roundtables bringing the profession and wider market together to discuss key issues that will provide insight that ultimately shapes future standards, guidance and technical content.
