Are you passionate about advancing professionalism, shaping markets, and contributing to societal change? We're currently seeking a dedicated individual to take on the dual role of Global Members Committee (GMC) Member and Americas World Regional Board (AWRB) Chair.

Please note, this a non-executive position, open to qualified members, working/residing within the Americas only.

Global Members Committee (GMC)

As an GMC member, you'll play a pivotal role in considering and recommending regional business plans developed by WRBs for approval by RICS Board (as part of the overall business plan), champion the delivery and ensure the quality and consistency of member services, experience, engagement and value and act as a conduit between RICS members, WRBs and RICS Board.

Americas World Regional Board (AWRB)

As the AWRB Chair, you'll lead a diverse team of members, in executing the RICS strategy at regional level. Your responsibilities will include advising on business strategy, engaging with stakeholders, and overseeing membership programs within the Americas market.

Role Responsibilities

  • Act as a member of the GMC and provide leadership to support its objectives.
  • Chair and lead the AWRB, ensuring adherence to terms of reference and smooth meeting operations.
  • Contribute actively to GMC meetings, review regional business plans, and champion membership communication strategies.
  • Provide quarterly reports on AWRB activities to the GMC, fostering transparency and accountability.


Person Specification

  • Qualified RICS member with governance experience and comprehensive knowledge of the built environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and make effective decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a passion for member engagement.
  • High integrity, resilience, and commitment to advancing RICS' mission.


Time Commitment

Expect a commitment of approximately 20 days per annum, including remote GMC meetings, APAC WRB chairing and meetings, stakeholder liaisons, and reporting duties.
