Net Zero Neighbourhoods is a UK initiative by 3Ci* that aims to integrate local net zero projects into attractive investment opportunities by achieving scale and offering long-term certainty to investors. How would such a programme be adapted for cities and neighbourhoods in countries in the global south? What specific challenges might be encountered in these regions and how could they be overcome? How are localised strategies currently being implemented in cities in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and India, and what lessons could be learned from decarbonisation financing and upscaling efforts in these regions?
