The Northern CPD series, now in its’ 12th programme aims to provide surveyors with an excellent opportunity to continue to develop their professional knowledge.
Covering a wide range of topics with speakers who are experts within their field, there really is no easier way to keep up-to-date with the key issues and recent developments affecting your profession. So, that you remain competent for the benefit of you, your clients and your employer.
The events will be held across the North East, North West and Yorkshire & Humber regions and will be delivered in the majority of these locations. Each presentation provides an hour and a half of RICS CPD.

This full day workshop will give delegates all the tools necessary to confidently speak in public and deliver a positive presentation. It is interactive and great fun with a number of activities to aid understanding and confidence.

Commercial & Industrial Building Defects and Building Services for surveyors- 05 October - Renaissance Hotel, Blackfriars Street, Manchester, M3 2EQ
- 19 October - St James Park, Newcastle, NE1 4ST
- 02 December - Holiday Inn Hotel, Barnsley, S75 3JT
This session will provide an introduction to, and guidance on, common, and some less common, defects found in commercial and industrial buildings. The workshop will encourage interaction of attendees with the aim of equipping members with practical scenarios, and examples of defects encountered by the speakers. It is hoped that more experience practitioners will find this a helpful refresher.

This workshop includes sessions on the interview, the presentation, the critical analysis and professional regulation. Group work will help cover the questions that might be asked. At the end of the afternoon delegates will understand what is expected of them at final assessment interview.
