A decade for urban transformation

In the wake of the pandemic and the midst of a global economic downturn, how can new and emerging technology, business and investment practices be harnessed to help the built environment transform? How can we meet the growing demand for more liveable, affordable, accessible, and sustainable built assets and cities?

The pandemic cleared offices and city centres, constrained the global labour force, and constricted materials supply chains. As a result, rapidly changing work and lifestyle norms, alongside rising operating costs, have brought once tried and tested business and industry models into question. As climate change and sustainability rise to the top of the global agenda, the public and private sectors recognise the need to change, and to do so at pace.

Over the one day, participants built a picture of how changing work and lifestyle norms amid a global economic downturn are impacting industry practice and notions of business-as-usual.

To conclude, stakeholders from across construction, real estate and investment  provided trusted solutions to support positive urban transformation.

During this in-person event, attendees networked with peers from across the region, get the latest industry thinking, trends and forecasts and find out about state-of-the-art solutions to industry-wide challenges.

The conference was followed by a drinks reception and the 2023 RICS Americas awards ceremony.
